Passion for Veterinary Surgery

Surgery has always been an interest of mine since starting in the field. From dentistry to anesthesia and analgesia. Anything that can improve a pet's quality of life or in some instances even save it.

Here at Pooler Veterinary Hospital, I've had the chance to nurture my love for surgery and delve into research a wide variety of topics.  I am proud to have produced my first publication with the help and resources of Pooler Veterinary Hospital and the owner and surgical director Mike Ammermon.

During my tenure at KMVS, we performed an average of 2,000 surgeries per year including everything from the routine spay or neuter to cryptorchid neuter, pyometra, caesarian section, mastectomy, splenectomy, cystotomy, gastropexy, enucleations, dental prophylaxis and extraction, medial patellar luxation repair, tibial tuberosity advancement, tibial plateau leveling osteotomy, femoral head ostectomy, and fracture repairs of all types. I was fortunate enough to work alongside the world-renowned Dr. Arvid Edward who allowed me to be a part of the hit show Bondi Vet and I was able to be featured in these two memorable episodes.
